Michigan State University's Dean's Arts Advisory Council was created by College of Arts and Letters Dean, Christopher P. Long, in August 2019. The DAAC helps the College proactively respond to the recent arts strategy initiative from the Provost and creates strategic benchmarks and programming for the College and University that meets the collaborative goals with our partners. We act as a conduit to share existing programming and ideas from our fellow departmental faculty to create “big picture” programming and curricula for the arts and letters at MSU. We also work with the Dean to identify potential funding and collaborative sources and convey national and international trends in cross-disciplinary artistic endeavors to create sustainable opportunities that would situate MSU as a leader in the arts.
Dean Christopher P. Long (Top Right) appointed several representatives from a variety of arts areas within CAL. L to R, top to bottom: Zachary Kaiser (AAHD), Stephanie Vasko (C4I), Rob Roznowski (Chair--THR), Dean Christopher P. Long (PHL), Laura Cloud (AAHD), Alexis Black (THR), Divya Victor (ENG) and Pete Johnston (FLM). Jeff Wray (ENG) and Allison Dobbins (THR) have also served on this committee in previous years.
